Biography | Josh D'Amaro — Took the Disney CEO Office on This Burbank Lot

Bob Iger's second run as chief executive ended on a screen, not on a stage.

On 18 March 2026, at the company's virtual annual meeting of shareholders, Josh D'Amaro succeeded him as chief executive of The Walt Disney Company.

The board had named D'Amaro on 3 February 2026, in a unanimous vote taken the previous Monday, with the change timed to that meeting.

He became the ninth leader in the company's then 102-year history.
