Nodame Cantabile | Shimomaruko Shoeikai — Chiaki and Nodame’s Shopping-Street Walk

下丸子商栄会 in Ota, Tokyo is an officially documented filming location for Fuji TV’s 2006 のだめカンタービレ (Nodame Cantabile). Tokyo Location Box identifies this shopping street as the place where Nodame and Chiaki walk side by side; the production also filmed Chiaki buying fish at 魚清 here, and later used the same street for Mine and Kiyora.

The association remains active around Shimomaruko 3-chome, immediately beside Shimomaruko Station. Its current shopping-street organization still lists local shops and community events, so this is a surviving piece of the drama’s everyday Tokyo rather than a vanished set.

Pilgrimage note: this is a working neighborhood shopping street. Photograph discreetly, keep storefronts and doorways clear, and remember that businesses and facades have changed since 2006.
