People treat GE Vernova as a Cambridge power shop that always printed GEV after a finished turbine book.
The April 2024 issuer was GE Vernova Inc.
It left General Electric Company by a full distribution of its common stock.
Holders of record on 19 March 2024 received one Vernova share for every four GE shares.
The new letters GEV opened on the New York Stock Exchange on 2 April 2024.
The surviving parent kept GE and became GE Aerospace the same morning.
The two books rang the Exchange opening bell together.
The mechanism is a 1-for-4 spin that ended the last multi-industry GE tape.
The pin is the Broad Street facade of the Exchange on that opening.
Interior trading is not visitable from the sidewalk.
