People treat General Mills as a Minneapolis cereal shop that always printed GIS after a finished flour book.
The 1928 issuer was General Mills, Inc.
James Ford Bell folded Washburn-Crosby into three other mills and formed the new company on 20 June 1928.
Public trading opened on the New York Stock Exchange on 30 November 1928.
The first prints were 65 dollars a share in 1928 currency.
Early trading carried the price as high as 86 dollars.
The company paid a dividend that year and has kept an uninterrupted common dividend since.
The mechanism is a holding-company listing that put several Midwestern mills on one New York tape.
The pin is the Broad Street facade of the Exchange on that opening.
Interior trading is not visitable from the sidewalk.
