People treat Nordson as a Westlake machinery house that always printed NDSN after a finished Nasdaq book.
The 1980 issuer was Nordson Corporation, the Ohio successor to a family dispensing-equipment shop organized in 1954.
Market listing tables commonly record 18 March 1980 as the first trade date under NDSN.
The present tape is still NDSN on the Nasdaq Stock Market.
The mechanism is a cash public listing that put an already-operating industrial-equipment maker onto the Nasdaq tape under the letters it still uses.
The pin is the public Times Square facade of Nasdaq MarketSite, the present street marker for the tape that prints NDSN.
Interior trading is not visitable from the sidewalk.
