People treat HYBE as the Yongsan Trade Center listing that always ran BTS, Weverse, and a string of bought labels from 42 Hangang-daero.
The first book was a two-floor music room in Seocho.
On 1 February 2005 Bang Si-hyuk, who had spent eight years writing for JYP, incorporated The Big Hit Entertainment.
The registered address on 4 February was the second floor of the Cheongha Building at 8-11 Jamwon-dong, Seocho-gu.
Thirteen days later the desk moved to a room in Samseong-dong.
The name shortened to Big Hit Entertainment on 24 February.
The early roster was small.

A joint book with JYP put 2AM on the same ledger in 2010.
That year Bang signed Kim Nam-joon, later RM, as the first member of a boy group that debuted on 13 June 2013 as BTS.
The label listed on KOSPI on 15 October 2020 as Big Hit Entertainment.
On 30 March 2021 shareholders approved the HYBE name.
The record label was split out as Big Hit Music.
The campus moved to Yongsan Trade Center on 22 March 2021.
The pin is the Jamwon floor where the register opened, not the river tower built after the catalogue had already travelled.
The mechanism is a songwriter's room that kept the masters when the acts outgrew the building.
